Request Transparency and Public Participation in Changes to Florida’s Vaccine Requirements

Florida’s Department of Health is proposing changes to the rules that govern which vaccines kids need to attend school. But they have not scheduled a public hearing. 

That means decisions that could weaken school vaccine protections—and put children and communities at risk—may be made behind closed doors. Florida law gives us the right to demand a hearing, but requests must be submitted immediately. If no one speaks up, the Department can move forward without any public input.
